[Overview]
This is a JBL C36 Viscount two-way, two-speaker system in the 030 configuration, released in 1960.
The C36 is a companion model to the well-known C38 Baron and was designed for vertical placement.
The enclosures feature a blonde finish, whose elegant luster adds an even greater sense of depth and refinement to the system.
As shown in the photographs, the cabinets are in very clean condition.

These cabinets are the rare earliest version, constructed entirely from Douglas fir plywood.
Aluminum legs are included.

The D130 is one of JBL’s most iconic early Signature Series loudspeaker units.
It is a 15-inch wide-range cone speaker designed with the involvement of James B. Lansing and is widely regarded as one of the masterpieces from JBL’s founding era.
When first introduced, it was highly praised for being capable of operating with as little as one milliwatt of input and is renowned for its exceptional efficiency.
Both the speaker cones and surrounds are in excellent condition, with no visible sagging, deterioration, or hardening.
As shown in the photographs, the units are also in very clean cosmetic condition.

The JBL 075 is a legendary tweeter that requires little introduction.
These are the rare 16Ω versions.
As shown in the photographs, they remain in very clean condition aside from some minor dirt and scratches.
Crossover Network: JBL N2600
Serial Numbers: 4178, 4187
The N2600 crossover network uses high-quality components, including high-voltage non-polar capacitors and low-loss coils featuring oriented-core construction.
■ Sound Quality ■
The JBL 075 tweeters, crossed over at 2,600Hz, produce an exceptionally clear and vivid mid-to-high-frequency sound image, with outstanding definition and a rich, lustrous tonal character.
Because the D130’s tonal balance is positioned slightly higher, the system delivers a well-defined, cohesive sound reminiscent of a full-range driver, while also producing deep, solid, and high-quality bass.
The system naturally excels with monaural recordings, but its ability to reproduce surprisingly delicate and precise stereo imaging is also a testament to JBL’s exceptional engineering and design.
