This item is the BEL AIRE, a 2-way, 2-speaker system released by JBL in 1956.
The BEL AIRE is especially famous as the first design entrusted to Arnold Wolf, who served as JBL’s president from 1969 to 1979, by JBL founder and first president William Thomas.
The speakers are equipped with the D216 woofer and 075 tweeter, making this an extremely rare piece that offers both outstanding design and sound quality.
Despite its age, the enclosure, speaker cone paper, edges, and diaphragms are all in exceptional condition.
As you can see in the photos, the exterior is also in very clean shape.
